Vision: The department's vision is to impart knowledge, skills and competencies for the empowerment of girl students and thus contribute to a healthy family and society.

Mission: The department's mission is to equip, enable and empower young women in rural and urban households through teaching and extension activities to help construct a healthy society and mark their significance at national and international levels.
