About Department

About English Department:

The Department of English was established in 1962. The faculty of this department are ELF trained and also master trainers.The faculty impart Language skills through literature to the students implimenting innovative teaching pedagogy like Activity Based Language Teaching (ABLT), Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) and Blended Language Teaching techniques in the classrooms, which help the students compete with their counterparts in the global job market. The department has a great success in achieving good results every year. The faculty of this Department engage JKC classes imparting communication skills and soft skills to the students to keep them ahead of competitors. The Lecturers guide the students in pursuing their higher education and cracking the competitive examinations. The faculty attend seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs conducted at various places as a part of Faculty Development Programmes. The Department organises Symposiums, Guest Lectures, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, and other Programmes to enhance the knowledge of the students.

Under the guidance of the English Department staff the students are trained in JKC lab on Soft skills, Listening and Speaking Skills.

Two Iron Almirahs are provided to the Department for the maintenance of books in the Departmental Library.

A computer system along with printer is provided to the Department.

Employment Opportunities

Students appear for PG,B.Ed and other Entrance Exams.

Employment is provided through JKC Campus Drives.Students have the privilege of absorbing into reputed firms like Wipro,Infosys,and other MNCs.
