About the Department

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

• Microbiology was introduced in this college in the year 1998-99.

• It was started under the restructured course with the combination of Botany and Chemistry at Under Graduate level

• The Department is offering UG programme B. Sc C.B.MB. till 2023-2024 with 30 intake of the students

• From 2024-25 academic year B.Sc Microbiology (Honours)is offerring by our department with 40 sanctioned strength

• The asset of the Department is its well equipped UG Laboratory attached with a sofisticated culture room.

• The Department is giving importance to the student centric & skill oriented programmes
