BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

• Microbiology was introduced in this college in the year 1998-99.
• It was started under the restructured course with the combination of Botany and Chemistry at Under Graduate level

• The Department is offering UG programme B. Sc MB.B.C

• The intake of the students is 30.
• The asset of the Department is its well equipped One UG Laboratory attached with a culture room.
• The Department is giving importance to the student centric & skill oriented programmes

VISION: “The Vision of the Department is to educate and train students in the discipline of Microbiology and to produce competent Microbiologists” and serve the Society by promoting science and its allied fields

MISSION: Our Mission is to provide fundamental knowledge in the field of Microbiology and research skill training for undergraduate who will choose research fields or professional career as Microbiologist to become future leaders in science, medicine, and industry
