STRENGTHS OF THE DEPARTMENT
- Dedicated & Highly qualified Faculty striving hard for the better future of students,
- Department has well equipped with two Laboratories and sophisticated Equipments
- Department has Dr.Janaki Ammal Botanical Garden where in different varieties of Ornamental plants and Medicinal Plants are grown
- Department has Dr. M.H.Mari Gowda Horticulture Garden where in Foliaceous crops, Floral Crops and different kinds of fruit yielding plants are grown.
- Department has constructed NADEP Compost Pit in which Organic Manure is prepared from dried Leaves, Weeds, cow dung soil and Organic Wastes.
- Name boards are displayed along with QR codes to all the Medicinal plants and Trees in the Campus. QR codes gives the information about the description and importance of Plants.
- Teaching, Learning & Evaluation process through ICT based tools and techniques
- Department uses LCD projector , ICT tools and Digital class room for delivering classes
- To disseminate and discuss recent advancements in Botany , the department conducts workshops, student training programmes.
- The department is actively involving in outreach social activities like school to lab, Visit to old age home etc
- Department have MoU with Satya Deva Nurseries, Kadiyam and PR Government College (A) Kakinada
- Involvement of Faculty in Faculty development programmes shows commitment to continuous learning and improvement, ability to innovate adapt to changing circumstances and technologies.
- Providing academic extension to various Colleges as BOS subject experts, Paper Setters, Evaluators and Resource person in invited talks.
